Economist from the University of Oslo. Head of the R & D Department and as such responsible for Statsbyggs development projects. Statsbygg has a particular focused on environmental issues and on BIM technology based on open international standards (the so called BuildingSMART technology) Has previously worked as researcher and research director in the Oslo based research foundation Fafo and as a consultant for the World Bank and Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Publications include analysis of innovation and restriction within companies and labour market analysis.

Title: Using BIM technology in analysing building projects eco footprint

Planning and developing from an environmental perspective, i.e. long-term ecologically sustainable development, is one of Statsbygg's priority areas. Low emissions of greenhouse gases is one premise. As part of our work the analysis model www.klimagassregnskap.no has been developed to calculate greenhouse gas emissions for building projects to ensure that greenhouse gas emissions from all phases of the projects can be documented. We are now working to include this work into our Building Information Modelling (BIM) business standards. Statsbygg is a world leader in introducing BIM standards and technology into our business platform.
